A breakthrough for the Kingdom of God that we’ve been wanting to see for years here in Israel is just beginning to take place, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
And it’s worth watching to the end, because we also want to share the most dramatic pro-life story we’ve ever experienced or even heard of in our lives.
Lives Changed through Millions of Views
Our latest evangelistic video, showing who Jesus is and why He came, was released in April this year, and has already reached about 6.5 million views in Hebrew alone by God's grace – and that’s with fewer than 10 million people in Israel!
God has used it to stir many Israelis to contact us to find out more and to order New Testaments and evangelistic materials – more so than ever before. And Israelis from across the country have turned to Jesus, Yeshua!
Just one example: A young man named Barak came to Yeshua about six months ago, in part because he’d watched one of our other videos. And when he saw our newest video, he shared it with a friend of his, Omer, who was so deeply moved by it that he watched it seven times, then decided to surrender his life to Yeshua! Afterwards, he showed the video to his girlfriend Rivka, and she also came to faith in Yeshua. And both of them were baptized just a few weeks ago. Hallelujah!
Launching Our First Discipleship Groups
But still, the painful reality is that new Israeli believers in Yeshua often immediately face intense pressure from family and friends who are hostile to their new faith. For some of them, going to a local congregation would have massive negative repercussions. Many of them need to be strengthened in their faith first before taking that courageous step to be a part of a congregation.
And unfortunately, for some who do decide to connect with a congregation, they don't always have a discipleship course there. We've seen over the years how if they don't get immediate, solid discipleship, they can be pulled away.
As newborns in the Kingdom, what they need is someone to help them learn the foundations of the faith, answer the tons of questions they have, and walk with them in the first practical steps of living out the faith.
So right now, we’re starting something that’s been burning in our hearts for years: We’re launching several discipleship groups, both in person and online. And we’re also working on a discipleship video series that we believe will help new believers in those groups and those who aren’t.
Amazingly, in the few weeks since we made the decision to create these groups, a whole wave of people either decided for the first time to follow Yeshua, or rededicated their lives to the Lord and decided to become true disciples.
The First Discipleship Groups (Sounds Like Jesus’ Group)
Now listen to who will be in the first discipleship groups, Lord-willing:
- Micah, a demon-possessed Israeli man who tried to commit suicide six times but ultimately found new life in Yeshua just over a week ago
- Daniel, a man who grew up as an Orthodox Jew in an extremist neighborhood but now has a burning desire to love Yeshua above all else and be His disciple
- Boaz, a man who had fallen into drugs and alcohol but recently turned to Yeshua again, and realized his need for solid discipleship
- Gila, an Orthodox Jewish woman who discovered who Yeshua really is, came to faith just a month ago, and has already memorized Messianic prophecies and is sharing the Gospel in the supermarket
- And several others are excited about joining as well!
And we're excited to help these broken people not just meet their Messiah but actually follow Him. What a privilege to be making disciples here in the same land where Jesus Himself poured His life into a handful of disciples who changed the world!
Please pray for great wisdom and fruit as we launch these discipleship groups and discipleship videos, and for all the laborers that we need in this harvest!
Good News for all Nations
As we continue to spread the Good News of the Messiah around the world, over the past few months, we’ve seen God work wonders, bringing salvation to many people in Ukraine, to a Muslim woman and her seven kids from Somalia, and to others from Turkey, India, Jordan, Canada, Bangladesh, and more! People from every tribe and tongue are coming to Jesus! All glory to God!
The Dramatic Change in Rina Just Moments Before Her Abortion
We’re also delighted to celebrate with you that at least 237 babies have been saved from abortion through our Pro-Life and Gospel Campaign so far!
The heart-wrenching yet redemptive story of what God did in Rina was one that blew us away. Rina’s parents divorced when she was 11, and her mother gave her up as a ward of the state. Then at age 20, she called our hotline looking for an abortion. She told our hotline counselor Rachel, “I’m all alone raising my daughter and can’t even afford to buy warm clothes for her. How can I raise another one?”
Rachel spoke with her multiple times and offered to help her. But the night before Rachel was scheduled to visit her, Rina told her that her abortion was scheduled for 9 am the next morning. During staff worship the next morning at 9, Rachel couldn't hold it in and started crying. We stopped everything and got down on our knees, and began interceding fervently as a team for Rina and her baby.
But the conversation didn’t go as planned. Rina got angry when Rachel told her that giving up her child for adoption was better than killing her. “I’ve already made up my mind,” she exclaimed. “Who is going to help me? You?”
“Yes,” Rachel replied, and promised that she would come regularly and help her if she keeps her baby. But Rina just hung up.
Our whole team was heartbroken. We did the best we could and we prayed with all our heart, but Rina’s heart was too hard.
Several hours later, Rachel got a text message, and was surprised to see it was from Rina. She called her and Rina poured out her heart, “Listen, I was lying on the hospital bed waiting for the abortion and saw two women come out of the delivery room crying. One had a still-birth and the other had a tumor instead of a child, and I thought to myself, ‘Why am I killing a healthy baby?’ I decided to keep the baby. Can you really help me raise these two children?”
We were all in shock! We thought this baby already had received the death sentence, but now she will live!
Just as she promised, Rachel has visited Rina multiple times since then, bringing her baby clothes, pregnancy clothes, a rocking chair, and other items Rina needed. She’s helped her practically in any way she could. She’s let Rina share her struggles with her and has comforted her as a friend. And she and another believer got to share the Gospel with Rina – and she listened intently.
And just recently, Rina gave birth to that precious baby girl, and named her Ornit. Please pray with us that this whole family, and all the other ones that we visit and share the Gospel with after they give birth, will have a revelation of Yeshua their Messiah and turn to Him!
We’d also appreciate prayers for the release of several pro-life and evangelistic testimonies and for the evangelistic video series we’ve begun.
