We’ve all been hearing a lot about the war in Israel, but we want to share with you two significant things you probably haven’t heard in the news that are going to change the course of history.
Increasing Openness to the Gospel
Many people are so focused on the things of this life, that only when they’re walking through the valley of the shadow of death do they start really thinking about why they’re here and where they’re going.
We’re seeing this happen right before our eyes: Since the war broke out on October 7th, we've been seeing an openness to the Gospel among Israelis even in places where intense strongholds existed.
By God’s grace, our recent video about how to find eternal hope in the midst of this crisis has now reached over three million views in Hebrew alone. Israelis from many different backgrounds have contacted us, ordered New Testaments, and several have come to faith in Jesus, Yeshua.
An Astonishing, Miraculous Event
A pre-army training school also contacted us and what happened there was nothing short of astonishing. In the past, we shared with a similar group, but they constantly interrupted us and some even aggressively objected to the Gospel.
But this time, these Jewish and Arab soldiers-in-training were soaking in every word, and even taking notes! We could really sense God’s Spirit filling the room. And we were surprised to see how thirsty they were for the truth. They asked genuine questions to understand the Gospel in more depth, including wanting to understand exactly how to receive forgiveness through Yeshua’s work at the cross!
As if that weren’t enough, since we also shared testimonies of healing, the manager of the program announced that even though the time for our talk was up, everyone could still come up to receive prayer!
And Yeshua miraculously healed every single person who came – they even called others from outside to come in and be healed! They even said they’d recommend us to another pre-army program! Praise God!
Fulfilling His Promises to Bring His People Home
Another thing God is doing during this war is that He’s stirring Jewish people’s hearts to come back home to Israel. The massive increase in anti-Semitic attacks and statements around the world is causing many Jewish people to realize that even with all of Israel’s problems and trials, it’s still the only place they can really be at home.
Compared to this period last year, about five times as many people from France and double as many from the US have submitted applications for immigration to Israel recently.
Look how God is fulfilling His beautiful promise: “He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock” (Jeremiah 31:10b).
God also promised dozens of times in Scripture that once the Jewish people would return to Israel, He’d reveal Himself to His people and they’d turn to Him (see Ezekiel 36-37), which would result in revival in the nations (Isaiah 60).
A New Evangelist Is Born into the Kingdom
And we’re already seeing a glimpse of the return and revival that are to come. Sabrina, a middle-aged Jewish woman from South America, arrived in Israel recently.
By God’s providence, Sabrina ended up staying near us, and met our team. Our Rachel helped her practically with getting settled in Israel. And as she and Daniel connected with her, they spoke with her about life and faith.
Sabrina started coming to congregational meetings with them. At one point, she opened up and shared some seriously traumatic experiences she had while living as an Orthodox Jew. She also said she was still struggling with rejection.
Daniel comforted and encouraged Sabrina saying, “Jesus knows the weight of being rejected by His people more than anyone does, and He’s telling you – as a Jew – that He receives you now with His arms open, just like how He died on the cross.”
Tears started to stream down Sabrina’s cheeks. And that night as she lay down to sleep, she couldn’t stop thinking about something else Daniel had said – that Jesus is offering her living water. She turned to God and said softly, “I want to have this living water in me.”
The next day, as she spent time with Rachel and other believers, when she was asked if she wanted to receive Yeshua in her heart as Lord, a huge smile broke out on her face as she answered, “Yes!”
And over the next few weeks, she began growing in the Lord, worshiping and singing everywhere she goes, and sharing about Yeshua with others, including with her own family – she’s clearly a natural evangelist. And through her witness, her mother and her brother both decided to follow Yeshua as well!
All glory to God! Let’s continue praying that many more Jewish people will return to their Land and return to their God and Messiah.
Word of God Reaching another War Zone
Also, even during this time of war in Israel, the Word of God is going forth from Zion (Isaiah 2:3) to another war zone, Ukraine. God has caused our evangelistic videos to continue to spread to many millions there, more and more are coming to faith – including soldiers – and our Ukrainian team member Inna is discipling them.
Even though the news cycle has somewhat forgotten the precious people of Ukraine, let’s make sure to remember them in our prayers.
Those Destined for Death will now Live
Back in Israel, after intense struggles with censorship, our Pro-Life and Gospel Campaign hotline is back up and running right after many of you fasted and prayed together with us.
Nearly 250 babies have now been saved from abortion through the campaign, including several who were born and several whose mothers chose life just this week. Isn’t it beautiful to see that even during this period, many new babies who were destined for death will now live? Hallelujah!
New Disciples and Discipleship Video Series
Speaking of new babies, we also have new babies in the faith that we’re beginning to disciple. And next month, Lord-willing, we’ll start filming our new discipleship video series that we believe will help these new disciples and many others across the nation to be established in the Lord and to spread the Good News until He comes!
